Audubon leaders and members from across the state will be gathering on Sept. 19 & 20 in Wellsboro, PA, to focus on “Healthy Forests for Birds and People” with an exciting agenda to learn about and share ways we can all help forests in our communities and throughout the state.
There will be concurrent sessions with varying interests and action opportunities for helping bird habitat: 1) in our communities as they migrate through or stop to nest, 2) in PA’s northern forests where the highest densities of forest-dependent birds nest in our state, and 3) in the wintering habitat of our Neotropical migrants throughout Central America.
Note: This Assembly is not just for chapter leaders. All Audubon members are invited, as are non-Audubon members who care about these issues.
A nominal fee of $24 per person will cover lunch, refreshment break food, and some of the facilities costs, as some costs are being covered by a grant from the Heinz Charitable Trusts.
