$4,000 College Scholarship Available

Northeast PA Audubon Society Awards College Scholarship

We are presently accepting applications for our annual $4,000 college scholarship available to students who wish to pursue a career in an environmental field such as Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering, Fish, Game, or Wildlife Management, Ecology and/or Environmental Science.

Applicants must be from Pike, Wayne, Lackawanna, or Susquehanna County and must enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university program. The winning applicant will receive $1,000 per year for up to four years. The scholarship is funded by our annual Audubon Arts and Craft Festival held each July.

Interested students can find the application form on our Scholarships page or they can use the universal scholarship application form available at their high school guidance office. Applications are due by April 30, 2017.

Chew On This! Feb. 16th

Lindsay George & Kathy Dodge

On Feb. 16th, join Audubon naturalist Kathy Dodge, Lindsay George and their beaver puppet helpers in a free family program at the Salem Library in Hamlin from 6 until 7:30 PM. The program, titled ‘Chew On This!’ discusses the wonders of wetlands.

The Library is located at 518 Easton Turnpike, Hamlin, PA.
