Celebrate Earth Day

The annual Pike-Wayne Earth Day celebration will be held Saturday, April 21, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the PPL Environmental Learning Center next to the dam at Lake Wallenpaupack. Now in its 14th year, this free event is open to all. Enjoy bird walks led by NEPA Audubon members throughout the day. Watch live web cams of nesting peregrines and ospreys, two species that have scientist and naturalist Rachel Carson and her book Silent Spring to thank for their existence.

This year’s event focuses on volunteers. Many organizations will have volunteer opportunities listed at their stations. Our chapter will have requests for help with our annual Art & Craft Festival in July.

There’ll be lots of fun activities and entertainment. We hope to see you there!
