NEPAS 50th Anniversary Celebration – Northeast Pennsylvania Audubon Society

2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the Audubon Society and we want to CELEBRATE! Beginning on Saturday, June 5th we’re kicking off our 50 Birds in 50 Days for 50 Years Anniversary Celebration which be hosted virtually through Facebook and Instagram. Our members, some who have been with the chapter since its inception, put their heads together to drum up a whole bunch of history, education, family fun, and bird facts – JUST FOR YOU!

Each day for 50 days, we’ll feature a Bird of the Day – highlighting a photo and some interesting facts on the birds of Pennsylvania. There will also be a History of the Day feature which highlights 50 years of efforts, initiatives, education, programming, and community outreach all accomplished by the collective NEPAS chapter and its rock-star members. And in addition, we’ll have some extra features like – Conservation-Calls-To-Action, Bird Question of the Day, and Family Fun Fridays! What’s Family Fun Fridays you ask? This features offers up activities that are fun for the whole family – centered on birds and nature!

If you would like to make a donation to celebrate 50 years of conservation, preservation, education, and advocacy in the Northeast Pennsylvania region, you can do so right here! Whether it’s $10, $15, $25, $50, or $100 – your generous donation helps to fund our college scholarship program and our environmental camp scholarship. It also helps us maintain and manage our sanctuaries and continue to offer our programs and educational opportunities throughout the year.

Your support contributes to environmental and conservation efforts in NEPA. It keeps the mission and vision of our chapter alive. It helps to protect and preserve our natural world. And last but certainly not least, it helps to protect the birds that call this place home.
